Free Tool Friday: Get you’re your grammar on!
Posted in Tips & Resources on 7:43 am
Wouldn’t it be nice to have an editor looking over your shoulder as you write those emails, blog posts and Facebook status updates? Today’s Free Tool Friday is almost like having your own private editor that follows you around the Internet.
Tool: Ginger – Google Chrome Plug-In
About: Ginger is a helpful little plug-in for Google’s Chrome browser (that means a small tool that you download and add to your browser, in this case Chrome). It follows you about the Internet and makes grammatical and spelling corrections while you write in your browser. You can also cut and paste text directly into Ginger (by clicking on the plug-in) and it will correct all your text and allow you to share it on Facebook or Google+. Might this make embarrassing status updates a thing of the past? (Secretly we hope not.) As more of our writing is done on the web, between status updates, blog comments and web based email, a built-in spell and grammar check is a great tool to have.
Get it: Go to the Google Chrome store and add the plug-in to your browser. Plug-ins for Firefox & Safari are planned. Also, swing on by Ginger’s website to see all its features.
Special thanks to Mixtape Communications pal Noland Hoshino for introducing us to Ginger.
